Hi! I’m Leslie, the owner of Leslie Kelly Acrylics and Jackit Up Recycled Jean Jackets.

I hope you enjoy viewing my blossoming passion in acrylics and oils. A little about me, I’m currently based in Holly Springs, North Carolina, living with my wonderful husband and some rescued fur babies (which you’ll often come across in my work!) I have recently retired as a Recruitment Director at Duke and my two grown children are out and about in the world. As an empty- nester, I have more time on my hands and continue to pursue my painting to see where it leads me. What started as filling a void, quickly developed into a fulfillment I didn’t even know I needed. You can find a sense of gratification through a paintbrush!

Sewing has also been my passion, and I have started a new line of recycled Jean Jackets. Each jacket has its unique design and is enhanced into a “one of a kind” fashion statement. I also take commissioned work where individuals can select fabrics to create a jacket that will express their distinctive personality.. The jackets are also on my Lesliekellyacylics website under the  “Jackit Up Recycled Jean Jackets” category.
 

I am always working to expand my knowledge and feed my imagination by collaborating with other artists, taking classes, and attending art shows. My inspiration often stems from my travels, nature, and animals, though I love a client presenting me with a fresh project!  My work can also be viewed on my website Lesliekellyacylics.com, Facebook, and Instagram.
